When we bought this house we had some built ins added and we used the guy that has done stuff for us before and he did a good job. Not sure what happened this time but he did a horrible job. He did not make the bookcase right and never put a top on so when he installed it he added bits of wood here and there to make it fit. . He also did not know how to paint. The paint was not a good finish and you could see all the brush strokes. If Rick would have been home when they installed them he would not have
accepted them until he had fixed them, but alas I was and didn't know
different. When we got new carpet, Rick took it out so the carpet could go underneath and then since it was dismantled he redid it. He repainted all the white and then he made wooden tops for both side cabinets and the window seat. He then stained them a dark color that he mixed himself. They look so amazing and I am totally in love. He still has to do the tall towers that sit on top and hold books but that won't take him too long. He is so good to me and he really loved working on this project. It reminded him of working with his dad and I bet Richard was looking down with a smile!
