Seeking Jesus
On Sunday we discussed the talk Best Days and Worst Days from Conference. Deb passed out little baggies with these darling Jesus figures and challenged us to put them around the house so that when we saw him we would think of Him. Grey came over today and we made up a game called Seeking Jesus where we hid all seven of them and then put a timer for each other to see how fast we could find all seven. We had different levels of hard and we made it through three levels and then took a break.
I loved the end of her talk where she says "Because Jesus Christ knows all about best days and worst days: suffering so great that an angel was sent to strengthen Him, the betrayal of a good friend, the cross on Calvary. But His story also has a garden, a stone rolled away, and an empty tomb. Because of Him, no matter how bad things are right now, your best days are ahead. Jesus Christ is our strength."
Someone made the comment in class that the best days keep us going and the worst days keep us growing.
I visited Elisabeth (young 27 year old mom) and Giuliana 30 year old mom of three little boys, 4, 3, and 1. I realize that we al have hard things that we are going through our have gone through and such a reminder that we all just are doing our best and to be kind because we have no idea what people are carrying!
Had a presidency meeting yesterday and we called a new RS activities leader. I think it will be good, the sisters want and need connection and we have dropped the ball a bit on that. We also had to mix up ministering a bit since we have had several new move ins and I just noticed another family popped up today so she will need to be added somewhere. Our little ward that was so small when we started over a year ago is growing quickly. We have had two new convert families and then several move ins!
