| Physical therapy came by and had him get dressed and then they wanted him to go walk with them. When they saw how good he was they were like, "you don't need us!" They were a little let down and we were ecstatic! |

| Chrissy came and saw him and she barely made it. He was released so much quicker than we thought he would be. |

We are HOME! I am still not sure what lies ahead of us but this first big hurdle is done and he handled it like a champ. They had told us that he would be in the ICU most likely 3 days and then on the floor another two or so. Surgery Tuesday, left the ICU Wednesday and he was home Thursday by the afternoon. Dr. Kemper came in and saw him before we left and said his MRI looked good, no bleeding and the swelling was going down. Rick's vision is slowly getting a little better. Kemper scared me though and said watch for seizures. He said Rick would get one free one and then he would have to put him on anti-seizure meds which we don't want. I didn't like hearing that. Rick cannot drive until he is cleared by him at his post op appointment which is November 13.
Dr. Valiant (cool name) the oncologist came and said they have sent his tissue off for genetic testing and we are hoping for co-deleated 1p/19q . This type responds really good to treatment like chemo and radiation. There is low grade and high grade. Dr. Kemper said Rick's is in the high grade because of some of the aggressive nature of some of the cells. So we are at least a 3 and we hope we stay there. This experience reminded me of my dad being kicked by the cow which alerted the doctors to the cancer and were able to catch it before it spread. Rick's tumor was just getting some aggressive cells. If we would have waited much longer those faster growing cells would have infiltrated his brain way more and it could have caused a lot more damage trying to remove them. I know that the spirit was involved in this and prompting him to get the MRI which has really stunned the doctors because he has no real symptoms other than a couple very subtle changes that most people would not have noticed or just attributed to getting older. This and the blessings that he has received have allowed me to feel optimistic and regain my peace when I feel it slipping.
