Straight is the Way and Narrow the Gate!

This morning we had scripture mastery fun Friday. Friday is the day our boys show up early, they know that we will be having some sort of food. Today Rick made deep fried french toast. I mean really! We bought french bread and then he dipped in some batter with all kinds of good stuff nutmeg included. He then proceeded to make it resemble a scone by frying them in oil. The kids topped it with syrup, whipped topping, strawberry, powdered sugar etc. This week we have been studying about the three degrees of glory, so we had a ping pong contest. We had a small glass cup(celestial kingdom) bit larger cup (terrestial kingdom) and huge bowl for telestial kingdom. The CK was worth 30 points, TRK (15) and TLK (1) I pointed out that attaining the highest level of the celestial kingdom is hard and requires daily effort, but so worth it. The Terrestial kingdom is still a kingdom that you have to do good to attain so worthy of some points but easier to achieve. The telestial is easy to attain and not worth points except one because at some point you made a good choice and received a body. I didn't want anyone shooting for that kingdom! The teams had to race to find the SM and then first one got to get a ping pong ball and they had to bounce it at least once and try and get it to go into the corresponding cup. BIG HIT! (currently patting myself on the back!)
