Introducing Jack!

Rick has been mentioning lately that he thought we needed a dog again. Our Pepper was put to sleep last March. He thought it would be a nice Easter gift. I am not a fan of puppies and so we went to a few pounds to check out the animals. Today during the break between conference we headed out to a pound that we had seen a few animals on the computer. The two that I was interested in were already adopted. On the drive we said the one dog we all didn't like was a Chihuahua. Well we went to the pound and Lexi fell in love with several large dogs. We told her we just couldn't do a large dog even though there were several beautiful ones. We found two that we really liked personalities of. One named Snoopy and one named Pretzel. (both Terrier/Chihuahua mix) Rick really liked Pretzel. Snoopy was the one that Caden gravitated toward and didn't change his mind. We thought about it and left and checked out a couple other places. We ended up going back and when I got down and looked at Snoopy and his eyes, I was convinced he was the one for us. We took him and headed to Petsmart to get some essentials. We brought him home and he immediately went on the Easter treasure hunt with the kids and has since been a lap baby with the girls. He is very mellow and we haven't heard his bark yet. He hasn't had any potty problems in the house and has done all his business outside. Cross our fingers he has that mastered. Lexi was disappointed not to get one of the big dogs, but since he has been home she has fallen in love with Snoopy which we renamed Jack and he seems to like that name just fine!
