Butterfly Emerging
Lexi in my mind has always been a tomboy. Not one to wear make up, dress fancy, or do her hair. When the boys were born and she was six my parents stayed with her. She told my mom don't fix my hair grandma I like it wild!! She often dresses in athletic clothes around the house and jeans and t shirts to school. Saturday was Taylor's birthday so we all headed for a little shopping in Austin. We went to this store, Charming Charlies' which was in a collections of stores with very cute names like the Dusty Pickle, and Nothing Bundt Cakes. So fun. Well you walk in Charlies and it is sensory overload. They have things grouped by color scheme and there is clothes, accessories (hair bands, necklaces, rings, purses, shoes) Lexi walks in and after a while says I want everything in this store!! She picked out several rings (she likes big ones) One is a cameo ring very cool. She bought a couple necklaces and a very feminine cream lacy top with a really cute jacket. She has been wearing a little makeup lately. Yesterday at church she was so cute with her hair done straight and a head band with three lace flowers (no picture sorry) she had her jewelry of course she paired her dress with some clunky boots, but it worked!! (She still needs a little irony in her outfits I suppose)
Morgan who you would think would have gone crazy, didn't pick up anything for a long time. She then got a pair of shoes. She has been struggling with allergies and wasn't feeling too good, so that probably explains it. She found a really cute purse but she couldn't bring herself to cough up the money. She is very frugal with her cash. Not so frugal if she knows I am buying then nothing is off limits. It was a very fun day to spend with the girls.
