Labor Day

Morgan and James started off their day by taking Milton to a Corgi get together!  

 Nichole sent me pics of my kids at Gma's house for a BBQ. There was a bit of a scare when Ivy choked on a piece of watermelon and turned blue.  Lexi was able to kick in nurse mode and flipped her over and with 4 back slaps the watermelon flew out.  Morgan said Lexi was so calm and it was impressive to see.  Lexi knew she had divine help because she is usually not calm when it is anything to do with Ivy, but she just was able to keep her head and do what needed to be done.  She said later when she took her downstairs to put her down for a little while,  it really hit her holding her tiny body that she almost choked and it was an emotional moment for her. Prayers of gratitude were given all around.  Lexi was working when a little baby was brought it that had choked and it did not make it.  That was so hard on her and still affects her.  I bought a device called a Dechoker and have gotten one for Kayla too. It has three sizes and a mask fits over the child's nose and mouth and then there is a plunger type thing that you pull and it sucks out the blockage.  I have not had to use it but if I do, I think it will be able to not panic and use it since it seems pretty straight forward.

Our Labor Day was pretty basic.  We worked out in the morning, then Rick went to the putting range, shot his gun and then we finished off with a couple episodes of Alone.  Today we worked out, Rick is doing some bishop visits and then we have the missionaries coming over for dinner.
