We have helped the kids get a car as they graduate and move on. Morgan got a new one when she got off her mission and Caden will get one when he leaves for BYU. Lexi kind of got a little jipped. She still has her car from high school, but she loved it so much she didn't want a different one. Blake was driving our old Acura and it is a pretty nice car to be taking to all of these construction sites. He thought he would like a truck or a jeep. So we talked about it and decided we would let him trade in the Acura and we would kick in a bit and then he would have to get a loan. He got a great rate and it will automatically be deducted from his back account each month so he won't have to worry about late payments. Hopefully this will help him establish some credit. He would like to follow Paul's footsteps and buy rental properties. Paul has enough now that 1/2 his income is from his rentals and 1/2 from his real estate job. Blake hopes to live at home for a couple years and save and then buy his first property. He has been a changed kid this last year. Morgan was shocked how delightful he was to be around this last visit. He goes on walks with me with Gracie at night, he went to dinner with Rick and I and he has not done that in years, he sends me sweet texts thanking me for all I do for him and Grey. It has been so nice! I don't know what happened but maybe a combination of things, the breakup (I don't think Kayla was very good for him), working full time, having Barret and Caden leave and having a baby. These are all big changes! Anyway he loves his new jeep and hopefully it will be reliable and last him a while!
