Lexi and I returned home after some errands and my wall was done. I absolutely love it and it makes the patio seem more cozy and private. I need to find a few more accents and maybe some wall art but LOVE it. Rick likes it too. It keeps that bright sun from baking us in the afternoon, but the slats allow for some light to get in. Then poor Gracie was traumatized by us yesterday. We were out putting the patio back together and all of a sudden we hear these horrible cries. Gracie had found a baby bird (quite large and learning to fly) on the ground and was trying to get it. The bird was crying and so Lexi ran over and was trying to get Gracie off of it and she had the hose and squirted her but she left that one and got a hold of the another one. There were three of them that had either fallen out of a nest or were all trying to learn to fly. So Lexi is yelling at her. Rick runs over to help and he can't get Gracie to stop. He spanks her on the butt and she is all confused. I yell at her and pick her up and put her in the house and lock the doggy door. Rick then tries to get the birds to the neighbors yard and he did. We then had to go love on Gracie who has never been treated so poorly. Squirted, spanked and yelled at. She seemed to recover and forgave us all.
That Ricker sure is one talented man! I love his projects (that he does because he loves his wifey). That patio wall turned out beautifully!! Lexi told me about your pup and her obsession with the baby birds. It's funny how some dogs have that intense prey instinct and others could care less about chasing something down. She is a cute pup though!
