Rick comes Through Again (he is a handy 3rd counselor)

So Saturday we had our "Souper Saturday" that we had planned for some time.  We had a few different crafts ladies could make or they could just come and eat soup and fall themed desserts and socialize.  I made the bottom two and with the help of a couple sisters they turned out like they were supposed to.  Our most signed up for craft was a jewelry holder frame.  We found out Friday night at 8:50 that the lady did not have them ready.  We were just lucky we found out quite by accident.  Rick ran to Lowes and bought all the supplies and knocked them out.

So glad he did because they turned out really nice and the sisters really enjoyed making them.   My counselor Judy has been suffering from severe migraines since April.  She has always suffered with migraines but they have increased to several a week and she can't move without vomiting.  No one was taking her serious because she suffers from migraines.  She finally got someone to do an MRI Friday evening and Saturday while we were crafting she got a call that she has a mass in her head.  She will be admitted tomorrow for biopsy and further tests.  We all had a good cry and continued today.  We as RS sisters are combining our faith and prayers as covenant making sisters in her behalf.  She has a 17 year old, a 6 year old and a 2 year old.  Hopefully we will find out that it is just a mass and they can remove it and her headaches and other symptoms will go away.  Thankfully her mom flew out today when she heard the news.  You always need your mom at a time like this.  Her husband lost his mom to cancer when he was a young boy and his sister died from cancer this year at left six young children.  As you can imagine he is not doing too well. Judy said he is handling it way worse than she is.

Thank goodness you have Rick and he had time off enough to come through for you. I would have been a little frantic! That is so hard about your dear counselor and friend. I really hope it is something that will be able to be corrected and that she'll be able to have surgery and have relief. I hate "cancer" and hope that is not the news that she'll get.
