Rainy Sundays

This weekend we had such a great time. Saturday morning we got up early and cleaned the church and then took the boys to their first basketball game of the season. They have always been on a losing team and this year they were picked for Fishers team. He is a good coach but very intense and I wondered how they would do. Blake informed me that one of his teammates asked him if this was his first year playing. Blake replies No, my fifth. I died laughing all day when I would think of it. Caden was getting nervous as game time approached. He takes things really serious. My boys played the game of their lives. We won 21-6 and ten points were made by them. Caden has never scored in a game and has always been scared to shoot. He shot five times and made three baskets. Blake and Caden played at the top of the key and totally shut down their top scorer. The week previously he had scored 24 points and they held him to only six. They were so excited after the game and it so fun to see Caden gain some confidence. He gave credit to Heavenly Father for answering his prayer that he would be able to do well. The first thing he said to me is that "prayer works". We then took Blake to a math help program to see if we will start taking him there a couple times a week. He was a wreck when we told him but after going there and meeting the instructor he was excited to try. Then we all went to dinner and a movie. Morgan got her hair cut quite a bit and colored and she loves it!! She bore her testimony today and she was so beautiful and her testimony was powerful. Rick was then set apart as a high priest and as a high priest group assistant. We then had tithing settlement where we could all declare that we are honest tithe and generous fast offerers. That is such a blessing in our lives and one that I am so grateful for. The kids worked on their felt animals while I read Bear's 1st Christmas to them. Our advent activity is to watch the first presidency broadcast tonight. Now we are awaiting the missionaries to come so we can break our fast with a lovely dinner!! Love my life!
