My two seminary boys jumped into our pool this morning. It is 48 degrees and the water is about the same. They were very prepared with a change of clothes and all. Morgan was talking about how she hasn't been the nicest to these boys. She gives them rides to school everyday and as boys can be at this age, they annoy her. But one boy comes from a less active home and he comes to early morning seminary every day. Yesterday he was asking me if it would be okay if he missed on Friday because he wanted to go to the late showing of Harry Potter. Morgan at that moment had a change of attitude toward him. She found a new respect for this boy who really of his on accord comes to our class, he has been a great addition to our class and has profound and often funny insights. She said that she was going to be nicer to him from now on. This morning she was charming and engaging as she took an interest in his life (they have from 6:50 until 7:20 before they leave for school) I am glad that she is realizing that everyone has something to offer and to look for the good in all people.
(and as far as being grateful, I was grateful to be in a warm home watching the above shenanigans!!)
