4th of July!! (Actually celebrated the 3rd)

We celebrated our independence by first going to Airbender. The kids then reenacted said movie later that night with fireworks. After the movie, the boys went and picked out fireworks. We came home and had a wonderful BBQ and then had the light show. Rick and Paul are very brave when it comes to letting the kids do fireworks. Rick had a plumbing blow torch that the kids took turns lighting various things with. Ginger and I were on edge the entire time. Luckily no one was hurt even though one of the fireworks bounced off the grass and flew into Rick's truck where the other fireworks were being stored!! It was a very fun day and we loved having Brittany with us (she probably thinks we are crazy!!)

Sounds like the perfect way to spend the 4th! i'm sure your kids will always remember that their crazy parents let them light fireworks with a blow torch:)
