Random Friday Thoughts

 In my study today we looked at the talk by Elder Uchtdorf, God Among Us and then John  6 where the disciples were wanting to learn how Jesus multiplied the bread and fishes and were so focused on that and wanting to recreate that themselves,  that they missed Jesus in it.  So when we are  reading our scriptures, praying, going to church and doing all the necessary things, are we bringing Jesus into it or are we just checking off.  That made me think a bit.  2nd when we are fasting, whenever we feel a hunger pang have that be a reminder to connect with heaven.  Pray about the issues you are fasting for,  read scriptures looking for answers, etc. I loved that thought of my hunger reminding me to connect.  3rd) the challenge to speak of Jesus more, in our lessons, in our homes, in our conversations and also for the next six months replace the word atonement with Jesus.  So whenever we are tempted to use the word atonement, just say Jesus and see how that changes our relationship with Him and our thoughts about Him.  Anyway I cam going to try and implement these and think about them and see if I notice a difference!
