We woke up this morning to a beautiful day after a rough night of thunder and lightening and our town siren going off with the tornado warnings. The thunder was so loud and the lightening would light up the room. Gracie was shaking. She has never liked thunderstorms. Max seemed unphased. It settled down about 6:30 am and so I slept a bit more before getting up and getting ready for the day. We headed to the Schoenrocks where Wyatt and Caden blessed and passed the sacrament and Caden gave us a talk on our Savior and his life, death, and resurrection and the impact that those events have on our lives. He shared a couple of experiences from his mission and bore his testimony in Spanish. We then had dinner. We provided the ham, rolls, mushroom gravy and asparagus and they provided potatoes, deviled eggs, salad, and dessert. We then played several rounds of lucky duck. It was a wonderful day to reflect on the blessings that we have in our lives. We joined the fast from Thursday evening until Friday evening and I was invited to join the facebook group of people writing about their experience. I read so many and was so touched by all of the testimonies shared and the faith of so many of our faith and not of our faith. So many united in one common cause, to pray and fast to our Heavenly Father as our prophet asked. So many were members who had not been active in years and watched conference or were invited by friends to fast. These testimonies added to my Easter weekend!
