Rick ended up with a few days off in a row so he suggested we go to the coast. We invited the Schoenrocks and headed down on Thursday. We had such a great time. We rented a beach house on airbnb and it was pefect. There was a great kitchen to cook meals in. Two hang out areas so the boys could hang separate. 2 bedrooms with king or queen beds and then one bedroom that had double bunkbeds. 3 full baths and 1 1/2 bath so plenty of showers for everyone. We would go to the beach every morning until late afternoon and then we would get a late lunch early dinner and then just hang out. Rick made breakfast most mornings. We had omelets, fruit, french bread french toast, and of course cereal. For Sunday we went to church that started at 11 and Paul put a roast in the crockpot and so after our fast we were able to have a fabulous dinner. We were also able to watch the devotional wtith the prophet. The boys loved doing the skim boards and boogie board and then they tried surfing but the waves were not quite big enough. It was such a fun, relaxing time and we just loved it! Monday after a bit more time at the beach, we packed up and headed home.
This sounds and looks like heaven! We love the beach and definitely do not go enough. I'm so glad you were able to go and have fun and that Ginger and her fam could go with you guys. It's nice when your friends have kids of similar age to your own kids.
