These three went shopping with Rick prior to Christmas and Rick took them to Newks one of our favorite lunch spots.

Christmas Day finery. Blake is sporting his tie from Grandma and Grandpa.  Caden got a couple ties and is wearing one with bikes on it.

Finally got his Oneida bow!

My three little men in my life!

These two had fun playing together.

Since Christmas was on Sunday this year and Rick had to work after church, we decided to do ours a day early.  The kids donned Christmas Pj's and woke up to stockings filled Saturday morning and then we opened the tree.  The boys got one gift besides what the siblings or extended family sent.  Caden got his Oneida bow that he has wanted for a couple years and Blake got his drone.  The girls mainly received clothes, shoes, books.  Both girls needed updated phones so they got those as well.  The kids (mainly the girls) made Rick and I a book of some of the stories from our lives. It really is so adorable.  I am putting on some of the pages on here.  Last year we got the video they made talking about their feelings for us.  I truly love these thoughtful gifts that come from their hearts.  It makes my Christmas so special.

We had our traditional meal of ham, potatoes, asparagas with mushroom sauce, fruit, and peanut clusters.  Christmas Day we went to church and were inspired by scripture and song.   We then headed to the Schoenrocks for dinner and games.  Paul made prime rib (2nd year to do this) and we stuffed ourselves.  We then played a game called Wackee Sixes and then Reverse Charades.  We loved the Wackee Sixes so much, I ordered it today.

Besides the fact that Rick had to cover a Christmas shift, we had a wonderful Christmas weekend.  It has been so lovely having all the kids home.  They are having such a grand time together and the age gap is lessening every year.  The boys are able to hang more as equals rather than little brothers.  The laughing and just overall joy that has been in our home fills me with happiness.  I know it will come to an end all to fast!
