Secret Chambers

Was able to attend our stake conference last night and then this morning. Our stake was split and we are now Waco Texas Stake. Our Stake President was from Waco so he will be our Stake President again. One of his counselors is from our ward. They moved here from Chile where he was a Bishop and I believe in the Stake Presidency there. He is a great man, always smiling, always helpful and kind. His wife is our Young Women's President. We were blessed to hear from Per. G Malm. He spoke this last conference and he is someone you could just be around. He is just a good man. He talked last night about the secret chambers mentioned in Doctrine and Covenants and what we allow to happen there. Our homes, our places where no one is watching. What are we allowing to take place there. It made me think of integrity, who I am when no one is watching. He asked what is on our walls, what music we listen to, what we read, etc. Then today we were challenged to take all the talks from this last conference that were given by one of the 15 apostles and prophets, and look through them and look for warnings and counsels given to us in them and write those down. Elder Malm also challenged us at the end to stop the negative talk of others especially in our "secret chambers". He said we should never talk bad about other people because all things bad come from satan and all things good and uplifting come from god. (Moroni) I really had a lot to ponder on and resolve to do better. It was a great weekend and I am excited about our new stake. He had each stake stand up and we looked like we outnumbered the other stake by quite a bit!
