| Our first guide at the Academy where David was. The headsets did not work for most of us so we could not hear him. We signed up to do it again later with another tour guide. |

| This was a bridge had a walkway on top. It was full of butchers and they would just dump their waste into the water. Those shops have now been replaced with jewelry shops. |

| This was the last statue that Michelangelo did and it was a self portrait of him with Mary cradling Jesus. He wanted it to be on his grave but the Medici family brought his body back from Rome to Florence and buried him there. |

| Met this cute family from Utah on our tour. When their kids turn 18 they take them on a trip of their choice. This is their oldest one so first time they have done it. They live in Farmington UT |

On the top of the Duomo after hiking 463 steps!
I loved Florence too. It was busier and of course cars, but the Pitti palace and gardens were amazing. I wish we would have had more time in the palace but we had to meet up with our tour guide for the Duomo The gardens had great views of the city! The hotel showers here were amazing as well as the food!

Our cute hotel breakfast area and amazing buffets. We were told on our tour that when in Florence we had to eat the Florentine steak with is from the Tuscan cow the Chianina. It was brought out to see before they cooked it and it was so thick and 3 lbs. We shared it and it wasn't super great but we do live in Texas where steak is amazing here!
