Ivy’s Easter Hunt
Easter for Ivy Lou
Once was a babe Ivy Lou
She woke she did sob boo hoo
But then would she smile
after a while
Cuddled by mom it came through
Time to get up happy day
Your toys are calling to play
And while you were down
Easter came around
Lets go and get on your way
Your first clue might make you think
To wash your hands or get a drink
So just run along
Humming your song
Its waiting just under the (sink)
Yay! Easter egg hunting is fun
For candy and treats you can run
But eat them too fast
And they’ll never last
Your tummy might feel overdone
Ivy loves families its true
A mommy, a daddy and you
Baby can’t be alone
Until she has grown
Her family getting her through
Bluey and Bingo can play
Like twenty-four hours a day
But then they need sleep
Piled up in a heap
Off to the (bed) go their way
Daddy is a pretty great guy
For you he will always stand by
He’s keeping you safe
No diaper to chafe
His best he will always apply
Your next egg is something to crave
Yummy and yummy you’ll rave
You’ll have to go down
Don’t fall on your crown
Its hiding in daddy’s man cave
Maggie and Arlo are crazy
Crashing around like its hazy
But after a while
They lay in a pile
Worn out and tired and lazy
At night the pups like to hang out
Tumbling and rolling about
Time to move ahead
Egg is in their bed
Waiting for Ivy no doubt
Lexi Lou loves being your mom
For her Ivy is the bomb
She has her big eyes
and with tender sighs
She smiles all gentle and calm
Sometimes moms need a rest
They go to the place they like best
To ponder and pray
On every day
And feel their love deep in the chest
Better run now, no time to waste
Start moving and let us make haste
Some candies await
A treat don’t be late
Then clean up with lots of toothpaste
Next there might be something new
A little prize for Ivy Lou
Deep in the fluffy
Under the stuffy
Bluey will be happy too
Now Ivy knows Easter is fun
But running and looking are done
Its time to sit down
Consider the Crown
Of our King who is Gods Son
He died for our sins on that day
A price too steep for us to pay
He bore it with grace
With blood on his face
Our Lord showing us the Way
