Easter Tradition Continues
Rick continued doing the limerick Easter hunt with Grey and he is sending some to Ivy too. Grey came home from school and did his hunt, we colored eggs, and we made cookies. He loved doing everything! He is very into potty humor as you can see by some of his clues. This morning we were having a really bad storm with crashes of loud thunder. Grey came down the hall and said, "Gigi I just said a prayer to Heavenly Father.' I said what did you say? He said , It is private, but then he told me I asked him to stop the storm! " So cute. I try and talk about how much Heavenly Father and Jesus love him and that they sent him to me to bless my life.
Easter for Grey
This is a poem for our boy named Grey
Who gets up early every day
Who loves to run and loves to play
So he can look for eggs this holiday
Easter Bunnies have treats to hide
They could be close or far outside
I’ll tell the truth, I never lied
So get ready for a little ride
Each egg you find will have a clue
Different hiding place for you
So if you think and if you’re true
You’ll figure out just what to do
So take this note and start to zoom
Don’t look around in every room
Dont crash this thing and then go boom
When you smash the pedal and go vroom!
Great work! You found it in your Jeep
They’re not from China, not too cheap
And you’re not done so don’t you weep
Lets keep looking, don’t fall asleep
OK, now its time to really think
There’s water here, but not to drink
Here your poopy makes it stink
Better wash your hands in the sink
Now you’re really in the groove
But, I’m afraid its time to move
We know you are tough, time to prove
Better see if Gigi can approve
You need to leave and take a trip
You might just run, or maybe skip
Go to the place that you could grip
A letter, or package to Ship
That was tough, kind of long
But we know that you are strong
We love it when you sing a song
So find a tune and run along
Its time to play some hide and seek
You cant find Pops he likes to sneak
And play it with you every week
If you can’t find him he might squeak
I guess you could say it is time to race
To your favorite hiding place
Sliding under without a trace
Only you can squeeze under this space
You are very clever, don’t get a big head
Just cause you found it under the bed
Never be sassy, be nice instead
That is the best way to get ahead
So when you get mad don’t throw a fit
Just sit and relax for a little bit
You might not know all the good things you git
Just stay a good boy and never quit
Heres your next clue - don’t let it pass
If you can’t find it, don’t cuss or sass
You have to act with lots of class
Now go outside and mow the grass
Grey is a boy who is just too smart
But he also loves a loud fart
A well rounded boy, every part
The center of his Gigi’s heart
Just our little pride and joy
All those toys for just one boy
If he is tired, he can annoy
But mostly, he’s the real McCoy
For him that last clue wasn’t hard
He found the stuff out in the yard
Listen up, time to be on guard
Maybe you should find an Uno card
Hope you had fun on this Easter egg game
Some clues were funny some clues were lame
Toys and eggs are fun, but not the same
As the One who took our Blame
Jesus died for our sins you see
All the bad things from you and me
He took these things and set us free
So that we with him can be
He died on the cross, but on the third day
His body did no longer lay
In the tomb of stone all cold and gray
He rose for us to show the way
