Picked up Grey Tuesday afternoon and he stayed until Thursday. I knew I wouldn't see him for Easter so I did an Easter egg hunt with him and then we colored Easter eggs. He would mix and match colors on his eggs so they were quite the sight when he was done but he had fun. It was 90 degrees so of course he had to go swimming and play in the water. My boys had a suit like this Spiderman one and boy did I have flashbacks!
Then Wednesday night the Laurels and Priests came over for a joint activity. They learned about love languages and did the questionnaire to find out where they stood. Then they went outside and played a different game while four of the boys played spike ball off to the side. I had set up a Italian ice soda station and that was a hit. Grey was fascinated by all of "pop pops" friends and he was right out there with them. We are thinking Rick will be released on the 24th because of Easter happening this week. We went to stake conference on Sunday and one of the boys that used to be in our ward but moved a couple years ago was so excited to see Rick. His face just lit up and he caught him up on what was going on for him. He had changed so much. He was a foot taller and very good looking and just had this beautiful smile. The mom had saw us and said "Cody is going to be so excited to see you" (to Rick). And she was not wrong. That has been one of the blessings of his calling, to work closely with the youth but especially the young men. Stake Conference was so good and one young man had been serving in Pocatello Idaho but ended up getting sick and being sent home. He is now serving with the Austin service mission until he can get his health back and he is hoping to be able to return. He talked about how devastating it has been for him and talked about trials and adversities in our lives and how can we find peace. He said shortly after he returned, he was driving in his car and just so upset about what was going on. He said the lyrics to a song that he had not thought about ever popped into his head. Master the tempest is raging , the billows are tossing high, The sky is o'er shadowed with blackness, No shelter or help is nigh. Carest thou not that we perish? How canst thou lie asleep. When each moment so madly is threatening. A grave in the angry deep. The wind and the waves shall obey my will Peace be still. Whether the wrath of the storm tossed sea, or demons to men or whatever it be, no waters can swell the ship were lies the Master of ocean and earth and skies. They all shall sweetly obey they will Peace be still Peace be still. He said that he immediately knew where he could find the peace he was needing and it settled over him. He gave a beautiful testimony of our Savior and the spirit was so strong.
