Road Trip

Ordered this dress but they sent me a small and long gone are those days, so Morgan was happy to take it off my hands.  She sent me this pic on the way to church!  Love the colors on her

Lexi and Levi picked us up at the airport and we went to their home to pick up the car.  Rick toured the nursery and they have it so cute and ready for baby!

We only had a couple hours that night so we met up with some family for a late dinner and then slept at moms and got up and out the door by eight the next morning to make our drive back.

We have a tradition of finding a crepe place on our travels and this one was Paris Crepery in Colorado Springs.  So good!

Morgan found her nickname!

Back to school she goes

Rick has the oddest taste. I sent him in the first gas station to get road treats and this is what he brought back.  NO  chocolate!  Sour cherries, cinnamon bears, corn nuts! No bueno!

Horse shaped rock

Wearing my Gigi hat Ellie sent me! It is for pony tails so it worked great.

Garden of the Gods in Colorado.  It was so pretty and looked a lot like the Arches but had greenery too

Priceless face

Lexi and Levi took a mini vacation to ParkCity.  She is almost ready to have this little girl

We had a great time on our little road trip.  Day one we left at 8 and checked into the hotel in Manitou Springs, Colorado at 9:30.  We stopped at the Arches by Moab and then headed to Colorado.  The 2nd day we woke up and got out at 7 and hit the Garden of the Gods, and Pikes Peak,  we were going to do some falls but Pikes Peak had a delay due to preparing for races so we got behind a bit.  Pikes Peak was super scary driving up because it was a shear drop on the one side as you made the climb.  The view was not as good as usual because it was foggy and they are doing major renovations so they had a lot of the view areas blocked off.  We then headed to New Mexico and were going to Eagle Nest but a storm was coming and so we decided to head back to Texas.  We made it to Lubbock at 10:30 that night so that was a long day!  The 3rd day we made tracks for home and got into Georgetown at 2 but we had to run to the airport to pick up my car so we got home around 3:30.  The pups were excited to see us and we were glad to be home!  The next trip to Utah will be the end of the month to welcome grand baby girl!

Sounds like quite a trip! Glad you enjoy car rides. I'm not a huge fan. Of course I don't have companions who enjoy stopping to view the scenery along the way. I think I might enjoy that more. I was hoping you'd get to go back for baby girl! So exciting! Can't wait to see Lexi as a mamma. Morgan looks great in the dress. Very pretty!
