Blake and his friend Seth(from chuch) are the first picture that pops us when you go to their schools home page. This was taken at a track meet. They have their last one tonight. Blake is a nervous wreck. He was told yesterday that they wanted him to have a run off with a kid on the 400m relay team. Blake beat him by quite a bit so they are having Blake run it for the first time in district. He has only practice a hand off once. I just hope he doesn't drop it or get disqualified during the handoff because middle school kids are brutal to the one that does! Caden has done really well for his school is the 2400 and 1600 mile runs. He always places first for his school, but that means he comes in 5th-7th place depending on the size of the meet. His time last night was 9:30 for his mile and 1/2 and the winner did it in 8:30 so he has some catching up to do. He has done better each meet. He has his mile tonight so we will see how he does! Blake has been doing hurdles and sprints. He does really well in hurdles. He is not built to be a fast sprinter. Most of the really good ones have the bigger legs and he does not. His race is the 400. His stride reminds me of Morgans when she ran. It has been fun watching them and remembering the girls doing this. Blake is like Morgan with speed and Caden is like Lexi with endurance.
