Easter Weekend

The kids were out of school on Friday so we headed down to see Chrissy. The boys spent the night and they had a wonderful time. They really enjoy Lizzie and Josh and Anna (Blake kept calling her Annaka) Today they went to Tangled on Ice and they said it was good. The girls and I enjoyed visiting with Chrissy yesterday and holding baby Blake. Anna was very fond of Lexi and had her playing with her the whole time. Morgan attempted to hold the baby and I was informed that I have done her a disservice by not having more children so that she could be comfortable with babies! She said I can't believe that in a few years they may actually let me walk out of a hospital with one! Today Rick did his annual Easter treasure hunt and he was a little melancholy as he reflected on years past and that this will be Morgan's last hunt with us. His clues reflected that this year.

The following are his clues:
Get ready kids for a little fun

Pay attention, get set to run

Scurry like a mouse

Through the Trails End house

Soon it will all be done

So go find our new pet cat

Feed him too much he’ll be fat

He’s hiding under ground

If it rains he might drown

Pass over him to get where were at

The last time you’ll run with each other

Be missing a girl, not a brother

She’ll be off in her dorm

We’ll miss her sweet form

Gone to school though the tears of her mother

Better treadmill lightly for stealth

And pump iron for good health

Help you last the years

Through funny and fears

To be fit is to have a great wealth

Next year it will be just three

Who will run to a nook or a tree

To seek out the clue

Figure out what to do

Find the truth it will set you free

Get started and put on your shorts

And choose your Olympic sports

Run through the grass

Don’t want to be last

Climb up to the last of the forts

So it looks like we wont move to far

Consider yourself a Lone Star

It seems a good fit

We’re here for a bit

Looks like Lexi girl might need a car

So I guess lets get ready and pack

Remember some food or a snack

Moving is tough

Life’s changes are rough

Get started you might need a sack

So this clue is special for Blake

Whose habit the thumby must brake

A great little guy

A kid who could fly

He’s plain awesome you make no mistake

Just think of the place you would go

Whether it’s up or below

From where you might holler

Or cast down a dollar

From there an airplane to throw

And this one is for Caden Vance

The kid has got moves, he can dance

His scriptures have power

Reads them by the hour

If you think you could beat him – no chance

To larp or Uncharted the same

This guy he can master the game

Seek you will find

Might look behind

Your prior conquests in the frame

And now we are at Lexi cheek

Who is sweet, and is true and is meek

There’s no better friend

Keeps going – no end

Its fun, food and friends she will seek

True to her self she will stick

A new smoothie that might do the trick

Look where she might sit

Or lower a bit

Hanging out watching a flick

Finally Morgan’s turn is here

It has been wonderful having her here

A true righteous delight

With academic might

Soon she will leave us I fear

Have no doubt that she will succeed

Soon on her own to be freed

We’ll miss her a lot

Might look to the spot

Where she follows her passion to read

It seems that life is so strange

The only true constant is change

Its time to explore

Move on and do more

And pray that you don’t get the mange

So off with you kids to the place

Find the next clue in this race

Ill give you a hint

Just brush off the lint

Empty your pockets just in case

With the right outfit your cool

You might make the other kids drool

Remember be nice

Full of sugar and spice

You can be humble or you are a fool

For a mystery you might look

For the light from the truest book

Ponder to feel

The spirit is real

From the One our sins he took

Soon we will have a new home

A new place to hang and to roam

New space to crash

New trim and sash

With comfort and cushions of foam

For now lets make use of this place

With a smile on your lips and your face

Stay nice and cool

With a dip in the pool

Or zip down the line in a race

That’s all folks, you are all done

But that is not all of the fun

You should all know

An I’ll tell you so

Why this race has been run

Its Easter - remember the reason

Why do we celebrate the season?

From the grave He did rise

His life was the prize

Let's live ours a way that is pleasing

I love that he does this every year. I'm not ready to think of "the last" times for Brittany! I know it will never be the same once they leave the nest!

So fill me in on moving, Did your house sell? Where are you going? Thanks for sharing the awesome easter hunt again. I love it. Where will Morgan be living in the fall? Chelsea wanted the new Heritage Halls but it was filled when it was her day to sigh up. She will be in one of the older Heritage. Roommates from OK, CO, LA, and ID. Her sign up for housing for summer is next week.

We did sell our house but we are only moving a bit south of here. He couldn't make the Idaho work even thought he tried!! Morgan will be living in the older heritage as well I think in Horne Hall. Her actual roommate is from Texas too. They didn't know that until they sent emails. So I imagine they will run into each other. What is Chelsea majoring in?
