Thursday morning we donned our swimsuits and coverups and headed out for a day of exploring. We went to Old San Juan and checked out the museums and the forts and the 2nd oldest cathedral in the Americas built in 1521. The bright buildings and cobblestone streets were so pretty but once again the heat was oppressive. We bought some coconut/pineapple sherbet to cool us down. We did have an amazing lunch at the smashed avacado and across the street was this cocobar which I thought would be chocolate but alas it was chocolates made from alcohol and lots of fancy drinks so that was a little disappointing! We then jumped in the water to cool down before we headed to get ready for the temple!
