Easter with Grey

Made sugar cookies and icing before I picked Grey up from school so he could decorate them.

He loves coloring eggs and had so much fun.

To our best little grey bear

to let you know how much we care

We planned a special Easter surprise

We hope it makes your spirit rise

Inside each egg, you will find a clue

And instructions, what to do

You might have to look all around

In the house and on the ground

The first clue is to think of smoke

Comes from a fire made of oak

Keep us toasty warm when it’s cold

Marshmallows, roasted and stories told

This little spot is in the yard

Just think about it it’s not too hard

And run like a bunny to the spot

To find the Easter present, you got

The next clue helps you feel alive

It reminds you how you learn to drive

Grab the wheel and press the pedal

But it’s made of plastic and not of metal

Maybe someday you’ll get a real truck

you can drive through mud and muck

But for now you’ll have to settle for little

Parked right there in the tiny middle

The next one won’t make you feel better

Because you have to go get a letter

But sometimes walking down the street

Helps to stretch your little feet

you get to the spot, you’ll need a key

To unlock the door, look inside and see

What the Easter bunny left for you

And Carry it right back home too

The next one we call Thunderdome

Or it could be your tiny home

It’s made of pipes and poles you see

You can swing around like a little monkey

Somewhere close by a surprise waits

So look around and try your fate

You’re a lucky guy and super smart

But sometimes you like a loud fart

Maybe now you can climb on top

And show us how you do the cherry drop

Now you better run to the place we play

Special games with GG all day

Some of these games sound kind of funny

So you better run like a little bunny

And look real hard, it’s kind of funny

You might have to squirm like a bunny

Underneath Your skull king seat

With Uno cards and go fish to beat

Your biggest prize you will never find

You’ll try so hard it might crack your mind

But think real hard to the best hiding place

And then you might win this last little race

We want you to remember that Easter is fun

But what’s really important is what Jesus has done

Did you know he died so we could live again?

He saved us from our death and sin

So we can be happy and live together

With him in his kingdom, always and forever

Grey came over after school and did his easter treaure hunt.  We colored eggs and decorated cookies. He said "this was the best Easter ever!"
