Easter Sunday

Hudson looks a bit nervous! 😀
Ivy has been asking every morning "is it Easter Day?"  Yesterday they were able to let her do her Easter treasure hunt with clues.  Lexi is continuing the tradition that Rick did with our kids and each egg has a limerick which will lead you to the next clue with a treat or toy.  Ivy had so much fun doing that.

Lexi shared an experience that made me think today.  She had a patient come in and he was a young mid-20's guy and had some embarrassing health concerns.  He said well I can tell you because you are a doctor.  So he proceeds to tell her and she is able to help him get some relief and will eventually heal.  I thought how much we might withhold from our Savior and Heavenly Father because we don't really want to admit to anyone our embarrassing or ashamed moments or the mess in our lives.  We can trust them with it.  We can take our mistakes, our concerns, and our problems big and small to them and they can help us heal and find relief.  I thought about that this Easter Sunday and was so grateful for the blessings that are given to us through Jesus Christ and his atoning and infinite sacrifice.

On that Sunday when Christ says the word Mary it changes everything.  The grave is no longer a place of unspeakable grief but a place of hope.  The cross is no longer a place of torture but a place where love was manifest.  Our Heavenly Father proved how far he would go to save us.  He would allow his Son to suffer and die.  How grateful I am for them and their love for us.

Such a cute picture of these two.  They shared the holiday with Rachel and Scott's family
