| Jay was not really active until last summer when she went to the Nauvoo trip. She had some spiritual experiences there and came back and met with the bishop. He challenged her to work on some things and one was to read at least ten verses from the book of Mormon. She brought the book that she was given in seminary and she said she had never had a real one before only digital and that it meant so much to her. We then called her to be the older girl class president and she has blossomed. She is a very quirky girl but she is so real and the girls really like her. She shared a bit about her journey and that lead to her goal of reading the Book of Mormon for last year. |

We had our night of belonging at my house tonight. We planned it awhile ago and it was going to be at held in the RS room at the church but with the flooding we moved it to my house. The boys were at a house just a few doors down so it was nice that they were close to each other. We had almost all of our girls come. They brought things to represent goals they had accomplished in the youth program. We had Amanda Nielsen the stake young woman president come talk. She did an amazing job and then we had Jay our older YW class president speak and then Kendelle one of my younger girls spoke. They did such a great job. We then had Haylee our specialist talk about goal setting and gave the girls some great ideas. We then visited and ate food! It was a fun night!
