Oxford has been quite the ride

Morgan has really enjoyed being in Oxford and seeing some amazing things but the school itself has not been quite what she imagined.  The teachers are on strike and Oxford is protected from any liability so you can't get your money back even though they are not teaching you.  Then the corona virus hits and we felt it best to get her home before we couldn't get her home.  She was supposed to fly home this Friday but we purchased an earlier ticket that got her home last week.  She was just notified that her flight was cancelled for this week and flights from Europe are not being allowed.  Three of her friends from Oxford that traveled home the same day she did but were on a different flight have all tested positive and are symptomatic.  She so far has nothing but sneezing but she does that this time of year with allergies.  She does have a return ticked to go back in May if things are calmed down, but her last term is her dissertation and that is pretty much on your own and she can submit it on line.  I am just relieved that she is back here and now I just have one child out of the country to worry about.  Caden is on lock down for at least three weeks.  I am more worried about how they will be treated by the locals when they go out than the virus!  People can be mean and irrational when they are fearful.  Dominican has an 8 pm curfew in place and if you are found out unless it is medical workers or people needing to get help, you will be arrested.  The missionaries are in for the time being so that shouldn't be a problem.  Caden is bored as you can imagine.  They do not have much to do and it is just the two of them.  It makes the day drag on I am sure.

So unsettling I'm sure! Hope Morgan is all done with the virus and her three friends have a mild case. Also hope Caden makes it home ok.
