House Updates

Paint on the walls before was a textured dark brown

We changed it to a light grey with white ceilings.  It is a lot brighter and was a bit shocking at first.

So our plan is to get the house ready to put on the market sometime this month.  If we sell it we will rent a place until the house gets built on the land.  This way we won't have to worry about not selliing this house.  This house is not a floorplan that is currently popular so it might not sell very quickly.  We had to get a new cooktop since three out of the five burners stopped working, repainted the walls to a lighter color, fixing up the master bathroom a bit.  We had gold counters which have never been too attractive.  They should be installing new counters today.  I just trusted the granite guy to pick one out that matched our colors of tan/grey in there, so fingers crossed.  Rick took off the huge glued on mirrors and plans to shiplap that entire wall and then we will add new lights and framed smaller mirrors.  We will paint the bathroom white and the shower glass which has a dark frame all around it will be replaced with a  frameless glass shower.  That will be installed on Monday.  We still need to order new fire alarms since ours became defective and if plugged in at all will chirp even with new batteries which sends Jack into a full nervous breakdown!
