Christmas 2013

Putting my items in my new wallet and sporting my new shirt Ricker picked out.

Blake, of course, was the first one up.  He had to wait for Rick to get home from work around 7:30.

Reading the Christmas story

Blake bought Caden some throwing knifes.

Rick did most of the boy's shopping this year, since it was guns, bows, arrows, bullets etc.  I thought I would get a couple surprises that were not weapon based!

One happy boy with his governor that he has been begging for.

Caden with his compound bow.  Very cool,  shots straight and quick.

Rick found a store that has my nickname for a name so he bought be a box of chocolates.

He knows my love of the BBC so he got me a few to check out.

Rick and Blake very excited about Rick's new gun.

Can you just feel his giddiness and JOY!

Lexi's favorite gift was an old fashioned camera that takes the old style film.  She is a quirky girl sporting her onesie PJ's.

New shoes that are so comfy.

Caden looking like Robin Hood with all of his items.

My little addition to the gifts actually ended up being a source of fun entertainment.

A few neighbors that share a yard with us have put their houses on the market.  Can it be because of this type of behavior?  I wonder!!

Getting and sending Christmas wishes to her friends.

Working all night caught up with the man and he took a nap before dinner.  We were waiting for the missionaries to come over.

Elder Shorts and Elder DeWitt from Arizona opening their stockings we stuffed for them.  We also got them a new shirt, tie, and socks.  They were allowed to go mountain biking and they came for dinner after.  They are fun boys and Blake and Caden really like them.

We had a wonderful Christmas and it was so nice to have Lexi home with us.  Our highlight was Morgan's call on Skype.  We were able to see her and talk with her for 40 minutes.  The reception wasn't always so good but it was still amazing.  She is beautiful and so full of joy.  Rick kept saying how you can just see it in her countenance.  She loves being a missionary and said that like three times. We met Sis Weatherford who has become their mom.  They spent Thanksgiving and Christmas with them and their family.  She checks on the girls and makes sure all is well.  She is the RS president in the branch.  Morgan has just grown so much in five months.  She seems centered and just knows who she is.  Sis Weatherford told us to be very proud of her because she is one amazing young woman.   It was just such a blessing to see her and to hear the happiness in her voice!  After the missionaries left we went to the movie, The Secret Life of Walter Mitty and saw some church members there.  It was a really cute little movie.
