Our ward was having a youth temple trip and someone thought it would be good to get the earliest session in Houston which meant that my girls needed to be at the church at 4:15 am. Friday night was Salado's last football game so the girls wanted to go and then they always have 5th quarter at one of the local churches where the kids hang out after the game for games, food, music etc. The girls went and were having a great time. Rick was nervous about them driving with someone that early in the morning and was giving them the option of not going. When I was a teen and my parents gave me an out of not going that early I would have been like OK. Morgan said no we really want to go. He then told them they needed to leave the 5th quarter and come home to get to bed. They left even though it was fun and the last one. After Rick prayed about it he felt calm and that they were on the Lord's errand and would be protected. They were not protected from an obnoxious three hour drive with some of our more challenging youth. When they pulled into the church, I was cleaning the building and they pitched in and helped me before we were able to go home where Morgan crawled in bed dress and all and slept the remainder of the day. Lexi tried but she got up, took Sundance for a ride and since she hasn't ridden him in a while he was FAST!! Rick worked yesterday but was so excited that a BYU game was on last night, so he stopped and grabbed munchies for the familly and we watched BYU get slaughtered by TCU. Being from Texas we were torn but we really wanted BYU to win. (Rick wasn't torn) It was a fun night, though since I had been awake since 3 taking the girls to the church, I fell asleep at 830.
