We headed to San Antonio Monday afternoon. We stopped by Chrissy's house and picked up Lizzie and Josh and braved the heat at Six Flags Water/Ride Park. The kids spent the first few hours doing the water rides and trying to keep cool in the 100 degree weather. I tried to stay in the shade and read a book. After it cooled down a little, Rick and the kids did some scary rides. Caden conquered his fear and rode the Scream and the Polterguist. Blake and Josh opted out of those! We stayed the night at Chrissy's and the kids stayed up too late. Poor Josh was dragging the next day. We got up early and headed to the Zoo, but by 11:00 it was already almost 100 so we saw a few favorite animals and headed back to the house. The kids stayed and swam and Rick and I went to the temple. Chrissy lives like five minutes away. SWEET! Our session was full with chairs being brought in. It was a nice couple of days. Baby Blake is the sweetest little guy full of smiles and snuggles. She lucked out with that one. Big Blake was in heaven hanging with Lizzie (little crush) but I understand why-- she is super pretty!! So nice to be close to some family!
