Big Week!

We have had a whirlwind week!  We survived our talks and I guess stress and pressure agree with us because everyone loved them and said they were our best talks!  Divine intervention is all I can say because I certainly was running on empty!!  Movers came on Tuesday and Wednesday and even though this house in only 1000 square feet smaller, I have way too much stuff!!!  (even after a huge garage sale)  We have had to make many trips to good will.  So amidst all that fun and boxes everywhere we had a daughter graduate high school.  Our first born is grown!  She gave the valedictorian speech and Haylee was the salutatorian (both girls we have had their entire four years of seminary) Morgan's speech was super nice and I wanted to put the written copy on here but she wouldn't let me.  She talked about how they all had fairy tales read to them as little kids and then they were some of the first stories they learned to read on their own.  How like life they are, the hero or heroine always had some obstacle to overcome to become victorious and how each of them were writing their own story and that even though they may have trials and adversity they can write their own ending and have it be happily ever after.  She even had one of our students come up and demonstrate.  Apparently he is an awesome jumper.  She had him jump without bending his knees and he couldn't get anywhere and then how high he jumped when he bent his knees.  She likened this to sometimes we have to be brought low to reach our full potential.  She then listed some famous success stories who had failed several times in their lives but never gave up!  It was really good We had a lot of support from the ward come.  Our bishop who said what an accomplishment for the top two students to be LDS and not be in utah or Arizona.  We were so proud of both of them and Morgan was interviewed for the paper and talked about the church and its influence on her life.  Our bishop and his family came, her sunday school teacher and family, her young women leaders and  teachers.  Then, we had family!!  Chrissy and Dave and their four kids, Grandma and Grandpa Daniels and Cameron (Ben's daughter) and Brielle (Melinda's daughter), and of course our Schoenrocks.  It was so nice to have them there and we so appreciate their sacrifice in coming.  Morgan felt so loved!!!  After we went to the Schoenrocks where they hosted a barbecue and swim party for the kids.  Ginger always goes above and beyond and she had it decorated so beautifully.  The got Morgan a Kitchen aid (the nice mixer, which I didn't get until an few years ago)  Morgan loves to bake and she loves my kitchen aid!  She will be loved in the dorms!  Morgan then went to project graduation.  She was regretting not getting to know more of her classmates.  She was able to visit and spend time with some neat kids whom she had never spoken too.  Since she was in an upper level class schedule she only spent time with the same 25 kids and really didn't spend time getting to know the other kids.  A few boys who she had written off as "pot heads" were really nice and kind.  She said she came away realizing that everyone has something to offer and that when she is too quick to pass judgement she may miss out on some really neat people.  I am glad she went and hopefully she also realized that socializing is fun!  Rick went and picked her up at 3 when it was over since we didn't want her driving that late!  Then we had seminary graduation last night. Haylee and Morgan were two of the nine graduates and they have gone through the seminary experience with us.  I could not be more proud of two girls!
