Started our day waking up at 5:00 am to go to the annual balloon launch. I have always watched them from my parents house when they are way in the air. I convinced Bozie and Jules to come with us. We arrive and find a perfect spot and watched some of them inflate. They were able to raise a few still tethered and the national anthem played before the weather turned bad and they called it off. So we decided to head to IHOP for a big breakfast. Jules' daughter D'arcy wanted to try American waffles. She had great expectations but alas waffles can only deliver so much! Fun day hanging with my old roommates, letting off fireworks, and in talking with our Aussie friends, realizing again how great living in America is!
