| The girls were into wrapping thread around a piece of hair. Mine was super colorful and I have yet to get it out. I am not sure how I will. It is tied in there good, but hopefully Rick will figure it out. His was so short, his came out easy. |

The girls had their girls' camp over spring break because the camp we have used for the last several years would no longer let LDS members come. They were getting too much hassle from the other religious groups. It was pretty frustraing because our members helped with lots of the buildings and did a lot of service for this camp. I was thinking how if they tried to do this to any other group, it would be headline news and a lawsuit, but we are taught to rise above these situations and so we had to scramble to find a place and the only camp available was during spring break. Last night was Bishop's night. It was a 3 hour drive so Rick and I headed up with a bunch of little bundt cakes from Nothing bundt cakes for the girls dessert. We got there around six and had dinner with the girls. They are such a great bunch of girls and we had four ladies from our ward there. Two cabin moms and one was the nurse and one was the cerification. After dinner we had messages from our stake president and his wife and then we went to our ward cabin for testimonies. The girls mainly talked about how much we need one another and how thankful they were for the frienships and connections that they made. One girl, who joined the church a year ago, came from a bad situaion and is living with her aunt and uncle. She said how she didn't really have a mom or dad and that her family life before moving here was not what is should be, but how the girls, and their parents and the leaders have become her family and how grateful she was for that. I think that really made the other girls really grateful for their families. One of our Laurels, who all the girls love and look up to, told them to take every opportunity to seek out spritual experiences and put themseles in situations to have them. She also mentioned that she has always wanted to go to BYU Hawaii and it has been her dream. She has been accepted to BYU Utah and Idaho, but Hawaii hasn't let people know yet. She was telling the girls that even though it has been her dream, it if doesn't happen then she will accept that the Lord has a different plan for her and his plans are always better. We wrapped up testimonies around 10:15 and Rick and I headed the 3 hour ride back home. At that time of night traffic was much better. Carrie, the YW president took some pics of Rick with the girls so if she posts those on facebook, I will add them!
