| Lexi photo shopped Blake into the Bond picture. 5'5 is a bit generous he is more 5'4 but you cannot convince him of that!! She also sculpted him the dog from the movie wearing the Union Jack flag. |
Blake loves the Bond movies and even the really old one. He wanted his room to reflect his love of Bond and the FBI/CIA. While the boys were off on the high adventure Lexi and I painted his room a grey and did white stripes on one wall. That wall will have the American Flag on one side and the union jack flag on the other side. She is also making him the spiral print with a man's silhouette in the center for over his bed. His map she made him will have blue and red push pins of Bond's travel and as he creates his web over his work station/desk. He prints out pictures of scenes/bad guys/ crimes and then links them with string to each other creating a web. It looks really cool. We took his old one down when we painted. We have a few accessories still to make but he likes it. He wasn't so sure about the stripes but when he gets his pictures up there they will just be a backdrop.
We had a new convert over for dinner on Sunday. Rick and I are her home teachers since she is a single sister with two teen daughters. She was introduced to the church by her daughter (13) who came with a friend. The girl's father freaked out and had three different Baptist preachers speak to this girl until she became so scared of the church she doesn't want to even talk about it. Tracy, however, was baptized but because the ex is making the church a custody issue, she is very careful. That is why she came to our home but a nice surprise is that Katie came with her. Katie is a tall beautiful blonde 13 year old who looks at least 16. Needless to say the three 13 year old boys I had (we are watching my friend's boy) were awe struck with her beauty. Blake has never been so quiet! They sat on one side of the table and could just stare across at her all during dinner. We then visited and played a couple rounds of UNO. She is a sweet fun girl and I hope that eventually she will take an interest again. I know three little boys who would be very happy if she did!!
